You are about to begin
an exciting adventure which could change your life!
- Your first task is to learn how to navigate
the WORLD WIDE WEB. This is the Highway you will travel for this exciting
adventure.
- Before you leave on your adventure we should
talk a little about Internet Safety. Because the Internet is an "Information
Highway", we must learn to be 'Street
Smart on the Web'.
- Now we are ready to go, let's follow Spot
to travel with him in seconds across Pennsylvania to the Franklin Institute
in Philadelphia. Spot will be your guide to learn how to use the World
Wide Web.
Follow Spot through Exercises 1-2-3-4-5. Hold on to your hat, we are going
to go fast!"CLICK" on Spot when you are ready.
- DO NOT FOLLOW SPOT WHEN HE TELLS YOU TO FETCH
A MOVIE! OUR COMPUTERS ARE NOT READY FOR MOVIES!
When you finish playing with Spot, click the HOME button at the top menu
and you will come back to this page ready for you next trip.

follow him to the National Girl Scout Page. You can check out the activities
of other troops all around the country.

- In Search of Science in Action: Now you are
ready to really surf the web in search of Science and Adventure.
- Now let's take a short trip to our Nation's
capitol in Washington D. C. Just "CLICK" on Spot and he will
take you to visit Socks, the First Cat. Socks will take you on a tour giving
you a cat's eye view of the White House for Kids. (Please
don't let Spot chase the cat, Socks hates that.)
